Martial Arts Extreme: Perfect Target / Bloodsport / G2 Mortal Conquest

Martial Arts Extreme: Perfect Target / Bloodsport / G2 Mortal Conquest
"Perfect Target" - A quiet life in a sleepy Latin American country comes to an explosive end when an American expatriate becomes the "Perfect Target" in a deadly political coup. David Benson (Daniel Bernhardt) blast on screen with pure power as an ex-CIA agent forced back to work as a mercenary to escape imprisonment on false charges. When his ex-boss, Colonel Shackwell (Robert Englund) assigns him to protect the reigning president of Santa Brava, he never expects to be the fall guy for his murder. Now, with an army of Shackwell's henchmen hunting him down, he's on the run with local police captain, David Ramirez (Jim Pirri), also falsely accused of the assassination. Their only hope is to expose the true terrorists behind the plot, and exonerate themselves. It will take every bit of their cunning military strategies and bryte force to bring down the treacherous traitors. In a blaze of guns, glory and poetic justice, the final move is played in a game of winner talk all. "Bloodsport" - When martial arts expert-and-cop John Keller ("Bloodsport II, III's" Daniel Bernhardt) infiltrates death row to uncover the truth behind the execution of several inmates, he joins the ranks of prisoners forced to fight the battles staged for pleasure by a sadistic warden (Derek McGrath). The best fighters are then turned over to Caesar, an eccentric underworld madman. In Caesar's secret playground, Keller discovers that he must compete in the ancient Japanese event of Kumite, where fighters from different martial arts backgrounds battle for survival. But instead of fighting for honor, Caesar's Kumite is a spectacle of violence and death aimed at entertaining the most bloodthirsty of audiences. "G2 Mortal Conquest" - Deep in the mind of Steven Colin (Daniel Bernardt-"Bloodsport III", "Bloodsport IV"), the secret of an ancient martial arts power lay dormant... In a former life. Colin wielded the forceful sword of Alexander The Great.

In the New World: The Making of a Korean American by Peter Hyun, X
In the New World: The Making of a Korean American by Peter Hyun, X
In 1924 seventeen-year-old Peter Hyun arrived in Hawaii with three younger siblings, leaving behind family and friends in Japanese-occupied Seoul and the Korean community of exiles in Shanghai. The early chapters of this spirited autobiographical account, the sequel to Man Sei!, recount Hyun's life as a young Korean coming of age in Hawaii and as a college student studying philosophy and theatre arts in Indiana. After college, Hyun moved to New York and in 1930 began working as an assistant stage manager with Eva LeGallienne's Civic Repertory Theatre. He later went on to direct theatre companies in New York, Massachusetts, California, and Montreal. As Hyun was one of only a handful of minorities working in the avant garde theatre in the 1930s and 1940s, his account contributes to our understanding of the place of Asians in art outside the mainstream. He also provides a personal perspective on key periods in American race relations, particularly during World War II and the Korean War. In the New World celebrates a rich life full of diversity. Throughout his life, Hyun believed that the making of a Korean American was essentially a "cultural marriage" - a marriage often requiring a lengthy and difficult engagement to succeed. In the New World is the story of Hyun's engagement, with all its triumphs and misfortunes, told with candor and wit. Peter Hyun died in 1993 at the age of eighty-seven.
